BroadSoft Ranks on the Inc. 5,000
for Second Year

GAITHERSBURG, MD, Sept. 1, 2008 - BroadSoft, Inc., a leading provider of VoIP applications software, today announced that it ranked No. 1,259 on Inc. magazine's annual ranking of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the country. BroadSoft® also was cited No. 98 in the top 100 software companies and No. 100 in the top 100 businesses in the greater Washington area by the magazine.

"Inclusion in the Inc. 5,000 showcases not only BroadSoft's growth, but also the rising adoption of converged IP solutions amongst enterprise and residential customers," said Michael Tessler, president and CEO of BroadSoft. "With the worldwide demand for feature rich, enhanced voice services increasing, we expect to be on this list again in 2009."

With more than 400 service provider customers in 61 countries, BroadSoft is recognized as the world's leading VoIP application provider. The company remains at the forefront of VoIP by continuously bringing thought leadership and new value-added applications to the market, most recently in the areas of Unified Communications, Rich Communications Services and Web 2.0.

BroadSoft's new Xtended Developers Program (http://developers.broadsoft.com/) enables service providers to create innovative applications and Web services that combine voice and video calling features with Web-based solutions. In an October 18 blog entry, industry analyst Jon Arnold touts BroadSoft's thought leadership vis-à-vis Xtended, stating "...a vendor with a forward-thinking vision can position itself favorably with service providers by effectively integrating 2.0 technologies with IP communications applications."
