Kakapo Systems to Launch TAPI Driver for BroadWorks at BroadSoft Connections 2007

New Driver Integrates VoIP with Customer Relationship Management Software

London, Oct. 9, 2007 - Kakapo Systems, a leading developer of VoIP client applications, today announced that it will demonstrate its Telephony Application Programming Interface (TAPI) Driver for the BroadWorks® VoIP platform live at the BroadSoft Connections 2007 Executive Users Conference. The Kakapo Systems TAPI Driver is a unified communications solution that provides screen pop-ups and click-to-dial functionality from within any TAPI-aware application. In conjunction with Kakapo's Unity ClientTM, the TAPI Driver allows service providers that use BroadSoft applications to deliver to enterprise customers off-the-shelf, tightly integrated calling features within leading CRM applications.

Kakapo Systems is a Solutions Showcase Sponsor of BroadSoft Connections 2007, the industry's premier executive users conference. BroadSoft Connections will run from Oct. 14 to 17 at The Biltmore Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. This first-class event brings together the telecom industry's elite to share best practices and to experience new VoIP technology and solutions firsthand - all in an exclusive networking environment.

Steve Tutt, Marketing Director at Kakapo Systems, said: "Our TAPI Driver extends the BroadWorks call-control capability we have developed in our Unity Client and Connector applications, allowing service providers to embed this within their customers' TAPI CRM application. This provides a warmer customer experience for the inbound client caller and helps BroadWorks service providers to increase average revenue per user and retain customers."

"It's thrilling to witness the ingenuity of our partners who take the BroadWorks platform and create something innovative and useful," said Scott Wharton, vice president of Marketing for BroadSoft. "At Connections, telecom industry leaders will be able to take Kakapo's unified communications solution for a test drive."

Unity Client is a Microsoft® Windows®-based application that simplifies the making and receiving of calls for users of BroadWorks Release 13 and above. Featuring an intuitive icon-based interface, Unity provides point-and-click call control combined with instant messaging and presence within the familiar desktop environment.

"BroadSoft Connections 2007 is the ideal place to introduce this solution to the industry, because hundreds of the top decision makers in telecom will be on hand," Tutt said. "We are proud to be a Showcase Sponsor for such an important industry event."
